This Lot: 2 Square feet, one piece cut 12" x 24", Light Weight (range 2 to 3 oz) Natural Veg Tan Leather Cowhide Split.

In the tanning process, when veg tan topgrain sides are processed, the underpart of the side (known as the split) is separated and sold separately. Grainy (coarse to the touch) on both sides, light weight (ranging approximately between 2 to 3 ounce, about 1/32" thick) with pleasantly firm hand. They are a natural light tan color, and are relatively even in thickness and consistency for splits, soft and supple. A lot of great leather for the money!
